Recently, several analysts have indicated that Apple could charge up to $20 per month for the most advanced features of Apple Intelligence. There is a possibility that, in order to use these paid features, it is necessary to be subscribed to Apple One, the company’s suite of services.
Analysts point out that Apple could charge for Apple Intelligence features
Neil Shah of Counterpoint Research has said that Apple would want to recoup its investment in artificial intelligence by charging users for some of the features. According to Shah, the subscription could be between $10 and $20 a month, potentially as part of Apple One for the more advanced ones.
Ben Wood, head of research at CCS Insight, has said on CNBC that “Apple has successfully managed to monetize the value-added services it offers and, as a result, has set a precedent among its users to pay for premium services. It is not ruled out that Apple may charge for advanced features in the future.”
Another possibility described is a model based on that of OpenAI or Microsoft, which allows free access to the most basic functions, but charging a subscription to be able to use the most advanced ones.
Recall that the Apple Intelligence features that we will see first will include writing tools, the new Siri interface, the new smart focus mode, content summaries in various apps and notifications, Image Playground, Genmoji and integration with ChatGPT, which will arrive at the end of the year.
