The firm specialized in action cameras, Insta360, has today presented the renewal of the famous Insta360 Go 3 that we were able to analyze not long ago. Its name is Insta 360 GO 3, and it is the smallest action camera in the world capable of capturing video in 4K resolution.
At first glance, the camera looks very similar to the previous generation. However, it has a lot of interesting new features. Let’s go over them.
4K recording, Apple Find My support, and a variety of accessories
Insta360 has been able to build a 4K camera with a body weighing just 39 grams and the size of a thumb. The format is identical to that of the Insta360 GO 3, but hides some tricks, such as compatibility with Apple’s Find My network, which allows you to locate the camera in case of loss or theft.
It is also a more resistant chamber, as it is now possible to submerge it up to 10 meters deep, twice as much as the previous version. The camera comes with several free accessories that allow you to get more out of its “mini” format, including a magnetic pendant with better heat dissipation, an “Easy Clip” that allows you to attach the camera to a cap or pet collar, a pivoting mount and a lens protector.
However, the star accessory of the Insta360 GO 3S is once again the Action Pod, which has not changed from the previous model, and therefore continues to act as a housing, remote control and charger, as well as including a 2.2-inch flip-up touchscreen that makes it easier to control the camera.
Its capture and recording capabilities have improved dramatically. As a novelty, it is now possible to capture video at 4K resolution and 30 FPS thanks to its new 50% more powerful CPU. It also includes features such as the new MegaView FOV that reduces distortion, support for Dolby Vision recording or improved slow motion. Similarly, the option to change the aspect ratio of the captures by simply rotating the camera has been added.
Insta360 GO 3S price and where to buy it
The Insta360 GO 3S can be purchased from today, June 13, worldwide. It is priced at $399.99 in its Standard version with 64 GB of storage that includes the camera and the Action Pod, as well as a Magnetic Pendant, Easy Clip, Pivoting Support and Lens Protection.
Since the Action Pod of the GO 3 is compatible with this new model, those who decide to make the leap from the previous generation will be able to buy the GO 3S without accessories for $239.99 in its version with 64 GB of storage.
