Since Google Wallet replaced Google Pay a couple of years ago, the big G’s mobile payments platform has been constantly improving with new features that are really useful. In fact, over the last few months, the American giant’s digital wallet has been updated with new features such as the option to save digital passes in Apple’s .pkpass format or the possibility of using loyalty cards with the Wear OS app.

Well, now the Google Wallet app for smartwatches with Wear OS already allows you to make payments with PayPal directly from your wrist.

Google has recently shared a post on its official blog in which it announces that the Google Wallet app for Wear OS now allows you to add PayPal as a payment method.

However, you should know that, at the moment, this functionality is only available to users in the United States and Germany.

“There are more ways to pay from your wrist. If you’re in the United States or Germany, you can now make secure PayPal payments in Google Wallet from your Wear OS watch. Pay for morning coffee and other everyday items without having to take your phone out of your pocket.”

Also, in this same blog post, the Mountain View company confirms that it has added an extra layer of security when it comes to making contactless payments with the Wallet app for Wear OS:

“Before making a payment, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity – either via PIN, pattern, fingerprint or face unlock – with the option to turn off verification for freight fares.”

But the new features of the Google Wallet app for smartwatches don’t stop there, because the American manufacturer has also announced that the Google Home app for Wear OS has been updated with a new shortcut in the form of a tile that allows you to easily control the smart devices in your home.
