From tigers surrounded by greenery to complex, extremely detailed characters, these sculptures are as impressive as they are creative… And best of all, they’re built entirely by balloons.
Each of these creations is a true masterpiece. Few can imagine that something so beautiful can be made from something as simple as a piece of latex and air.
The history of the balloon is somewhat interesting, the first ones were made of animal organs, specifically the bladder (hence they are also known by that name), the inventor of the modern balloon was Michael Faraday, yes, the same one who appears in physics books as the founder of electromagnetism.
Although they are made of various materials, balloons made of 100% latex take the same amount as an oak leaf to biodegrade, just 80 days. The technique tells us that a balloon must be stretched before inflating it to make it easier to fill, however, this only causes the pores of the material to become larger, a consequence that is reflected in the time they last inflated. Filled with water, helium, aeration, and/or any other disgusting material, balloons always turn out to be a fun thing, especially when making art out of them.
