- WhatsApp can now transcribe voice audios into multiple languages
- This is the WhatsApp feature that will no longer be on iPhone from today
Meta intends to make AI a part of WhatsApp. Just a few weeks ago we learned how the instant messaging application was working on a feature with which to generate profile photos using Artificial Intelligence, but it is not the first time that Meta has made a move in this aspect and its chatbot is already available to some users. Now, what has been known is that AI image generation is about to arrive on WhatsApp.
This feature has been discovered thanks to the work of WABetaInfo that has analyzed the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, finding the necessary information to speculate that Meta is working on a feature that will allow users to generate images by AI directly from WhatsApp.
Generating images by AI will be the next novelty of WhatsApp
Version 2.24.11.17 of WhatsApp has been the one that has shown this feature in the making. According to what has been observed in this application under development, the functionality would be integrated into the section for sending photographs, videos, files, etc. At the bottom of the list would be a new icon.
This icon would be identical to that of Meta’s chatbot and would have the caption “Imagine”, which would refer to the fact that it is a functionality aimed at generating images using AI. Its operation is still unknown, in fact, despite having appeared the icon has not been able to be used to create an image.
Meta may be reserving this feature for all those users who have been able to access its chatbot on WhatsApp. The rest of the people will have to wait for the company to make the official launch or, on the contrary, stop the development of this feature and never see the light of day.
It is interesting to see that AI will be an important part of the experience of any application, although we will have to see how this novelty works in the real world in order to know if it is useful or, on the contrary, falls on deaf ears by not being used.
There is no set date for this feature to be launched within WhatsApp so you can only keep an eye on Meta’s movements in reference to its applications, with WhatsApp being the protagonist in this case and which may receive news over the next few weeks.
