My Spotify: this is how you can know the statistics of the Wrapped throughout the year

Spotify Wrapped is one of the most important events of the streaming music service, social networks are flooded with publications from users sharing their statistics in such a way that everyone can know who their most listened to artist has been, their favorite musical genre and, above all, the number of minutes they have spent listening to music.

The interesting thing about this annual event is precisely that it is something unique during the year. Now, Spotify wants to make Wrapped stats accessible throughout the year with its new feature called My Spotify. This novelty has just been announced and will arrive over the next few weeks in the selected countries.

My Spotify: this is how you can know the statistics of the Wrapped all year round

The launch of My Spotify may be a direct response to apps like Last.fm that allow you to know Spotify’s stats throughout the year. Now, Spotify will have a section in which you can know the information about the use of the application, detailing listening patterns.

The operation of My Spotify will be based on the creation of cards such as those in the image that illustrates this article, in these cards will appear information that will indicate both the most listened to song during a day, the artist with the highest number of plays or even a dissection of the songs that have been played throughout the day.

Aside from the information, the potential of the cards is that the information will be translated into a personalized playlist. This list will be made up of the songs that star in these statistics. In addition, functionalities such as the DJ that uses AI to generate playlists based on artists, feelings and times of day will be introduced.

For the time being, My Spotify will only be available in the United States, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia, as reported in the company’s official blog. Spain is left out of the first list, although it would be expected that the characteristic will land over the following weeks or months.

Now we just have to wait to see how users will react to this novelty, and it is expected that many will use My Spotify to be able to know their listening habits within the application. Of course, having so much information and in such an accessible way can work against Spotify Wrapped.
