This is what the inside of a $3 million bunker looks like

The fateful year of 2020 taught us that all those paranoid concerns, worthy of a science fiction movie, are more real than we’re willing to accept. In fact, the possibility of an apocalyptic world has become more plausible than we could ever imagine. So, in this day and age, the idea of acquiring a bunker doesn’t seem so far-fetched anymore.

If you think about it, such a facility would not only protect you from an eventual pandemic. It would also offer protection in an alien invasion, zombie apocalypse, wars, and possibly a meteorite impact. Don’t forget 2020.

The idea we have of a bunker is that of a dark, damp, uncomfortable and lonely place. After all, we’re talking about an underground shelter specifically designed to isolate yourself from the outside world. But, when you have money, all of that can become a luxury. Don’t you think so? Take a look at this wonderful bunker located north of Wichita, Kansas, United States.

The Survival Condo Project.

Obviously, the exact location of the bunker is a closely guarded secret. However, it is called The Survival Condo Project. Something like “Survival Condominium Project”.

As Chow explained a few years ago, this place has 15 levels totaling 2,000 square meters. Up to 75 people can live there with the right to a cinema, swimming pool, elevator, a general store and a gym. It also has common areas such as a laundry room, living rooms, artificial parks, library and games room. Plus climbing walls and a well-equipped medical center. In the case of the United States, obviously a shooting range could not be missing.

Originally, this compound functioned as a missile depot for the U.S. government during the Cold War. It is specifically designed to run in full swing for 5 years before someone has to go outside. The bunker features three water fountains and a specialized filtration system. It also has three power sources for the entire system. And there will be no shortage of food thanks to hydroponic plantations.

But, having the possibility of protecting oneself from the End of the World is a privilege of few. The price of the apartments, depending on the size, is around $1.5 million and $4.5 million. On top of that, each tenant must pay a monthly maintenance fee of $5,000.
