#1 Don’t snooze the alarm
If you have to wake up at 7:00, but you set your alarm clock at 6:00 to go off every 10 minutes, I'm sorry to tell you that's not a good idea. Every time you snooze the alarm and go back to sleep, your brain goes into a sleep cycle that it won't be able to finish, so when you finally wake up you'll be drowsy and overtired.
#2 Don’t curl up in bed
It turns out that it's best to stretch while you're still in bed, the more you do it the safer and more confident you'll feel for the rest of the day – watch your dog how the first thing he does when he wakes up is stretch. If, on the other hand, you wake up, roll over and curl up, you may feel more tired and stressed.

#3 Don’t check your cell phone the first thing you do
Let's be honest: waking up and checking your phone before doing anything else is something we ALL do, but it distracts us from what we need to do. It's better to wake up and focus on productive actions, rather than distracting our brains while we check our notifications.

#4 Let the light into your bedroom when you wake up
Yes, I know, waking up and opening the curtains to let the light in can be an ordeal, but it's the best, because our biological clock is very sensitive to light – and darkness – so if you wake up in the dark it will be confused and will probably have you in zombie mode all day.

#6 If you want to wake up, avoid coffee
I must say that of everything we have read, this hit me the most, and I am one of those people who need coffee to function in the morning... or so I thought. Well, now it turns out that, according to studies, between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning our body produces large amounts of an energy-regulating hormone called cortisone. If you drink coffee before 9:30 a.m. then your body reduces the production of this hormone and it will impact your energy levels and high stress levels for the rest of the day.

#7 Instead of forcing yourself to do something, cultivate good habits
At the end of the day, what matters is to create good habits, and our willpower has a limit, so if we "force" ourselves not to do everything we already mentioned, we probably won't last even a week; But if we focus instead on creating a routine automatically, we can use our willpower on other things.
